Security isn't a box we check. It's something we build on. That's why Chargeblast is taking a new step: we're working toward FedRAMP certification.
FedRAMP, short for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, is one of the strictest security standards in the U.S. It was created to help federal agencies safely adopt cloud technologies. But it's not just for government work. For any company handling sensitive data in the cloud, it represents a serious commitment to security.
Right now, no chargeback management company is FedRAMP certified.
We want to change that. Our goal is to be the first.
We're early in the process. That means we're conducting internal assessments, working with compliance experts, and beginning the long trail of documentation and technical review that FedRAMP requires. This kind of certification involves everything from vulnerability scanning to detailed third-party audits. It's not fast, and it shouldn't be.
We're not ready to share a timeline yet. But we want our customers and partners to know that it's in motion. We're building the infrastructure and systems needed to meet these government-level requirements. And we're doing it carefully.
Why This Matters for Chargeback Prevention
When your company is dealing with cardholder disputes, personal data, and financial history, secure cloud systems are essential. FedRAMP certification would mean even stronger protections around sensitive information. It also means aligning our platform with controls that are continuously monitored and updated by government and industry experts.
In practical terms, this helps us stay ahead. Not just in dispute resolution tech, but in how we safeguard the information that runs through it.
A Gateway to Government Work
It’s also important to know that any company providing services to U.S. government agencies - or to contractors working with them - will be required to use FedRAMP-certified cloud vendors. That means when Chargeblast achieves FedRAMP certification, we'll be uniquely positioned to serve the chargeback prevention needs of government agencies and their partners. With no other chargeback management company currently FedRAMP certified, this would give us a first-mover advantage - and, in effect, a monopoly - on that market.
Examples of Other FedRAMP-Certified SaaS Tools
While Chargeblast is working toward certification, other SaaS companies have already achieved FedRAMP status. Some notable examples include:
- Salesforce Government Cloud (CRM and collaboration)
- ServiceNow (workflow and IT service management)
- Box (secure cloud content management)
- Zoom for Government (video conferencing)
- AWS GovCloud (secure cloud infrastructure)
We’ll continue to share updates as things move forward, so be sure to tune into our LinkedIn account for the latest news.
For now, just know that we're taking steps to raise the bar.
Chargebacks Are a Threat. So Is Bad Security.
Fighting chargebacks isn't just about winning cases. It's about protecting your entire system from the transaction all the way to the evidence. At Chargeblast, we help merchants prevent disputes before they happen, using smarter workflows, better data, and strong security standards.
